Technical tools for training, informatics, audiovisual and information technologies, information and communication technologies in education and work in a digital environment

The end of the 1960s was associated with a rapid development of technical means of education. That is why in 1971 a new course "Technical means of foreign language teaching" was introduced under the leadership of the newly appointed to the Department Yordan Manchev, who was habilitated as an associate professor in 1984 ("Situational-adaptive system for teaching foreign language speech"). In 1989, the course was taken over by Andrey Bachvarov. Four years later (1993), by decision of the Faculty Council, the course was replaced by a course in informatics, taught by Andrey Bachvarov. His assistant from 1989 to 1999 was Vladimir Kolev. For the academic year 1996-1997, Emil Hristoskov was appointed as a part-time lecturer. In 1998, an optional course in multimedia technologies and French language teaching was introduced, taught by Andrey Bachvarov and Dimitar Veselinov. Since 2003, Dimitar Veselinov has been teaching a course in "Media Education" in the master's program "Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching". For the specialties of the Center for Eastern Languages ​​and Cultures, the course is taught by Assoc. Prof. Danail Danov. Since 2006, the courses in informatics and audiovisual and information technologies have been partially taken over by Nikolina Iskarova, who became the titular professor after 2009. Since 2011, a course in information and communication technologies has been introduced, taught by Assoc. Prof. Nikolina Iskarova, Assoc. Prof. Simeon Hinkovski and Dr. Anelia Kremenska, which in 2015 was renamed to Information and Communication Technologies in Education and Work in a Digital Environment.
