Methodology of Italian language teaching

The beginning of the Italian Philology major was laid in 1945, but the introduction of a separate course on Italian language methodology took place only in 1998. Until then, students had been taking the general course on French language methodology. Radost Tsaneva took over the preparation of Italian language methodology for the first major (1998-2011), and Dimitar Veselinov began lecturing on the second major Italian Philology. In 2011, he became the titular head of the Italian language methodology course, and Svetlana Lazarova was recruited as a part-time assistant, who began leading the practical module of the teacher training of future Italianists.
