On 3 December 2025, the Department of "Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching" was visited by Susanne Guckelsberger, PhD, a research associate at the Institute of Languages ​​- German as a Foreign Language - at the University of Hamburg. She is at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" within the framework of a work visit to the Department of "Western Languages", but is also interested in the methodology of teaching German as a second and foreign language - an area in which she has an active teaching and scientific and applied career, including as an associate of the German Academic Exchange Service. Among the topics of our conversation were the university education of future teachers of German, their practical training and German as a language of communication and teaching in the classroom. We shared a mutual hope for continued partnership and cooperation.
