On 15 September, Prof. Dimitar Veselinov, DSc, lecturer at the Department of Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, was an official guest at the ceremonial opening of the new school year at the Specialized Secondary School for Intensive Study of Romanian Language “Mihai Eminescu”. His presence highlighted the long‑standing cooperation between the two institutions, with the secondary school serving as an established partner school for university teaching practice and joint initiatives.

The Romanian Secondary School was founded in 1999 under a bilateral agreement between Bulgaria and Romania — the same agreement that enabled the establishment of the Bulgarian Secondary School “Hristo Botev” in Bucharest. Its creation restored the traditions of the former Romanian lycée that operated in Sofia until the Second World War. Over the years, a significant number of its graduates have continued their education at Romanian universities, further strengthening cultural and academic ties between the two countries.
