My journey as an English teacher – gratitude and inspiration
As an English teacher, I would like to express my deep gratitude and satisfaction with the training I received in the Master’s program “Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching” at the Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. This program played a key role in my professional growth and successful realization in the field of education.
The program combines a high academic level with a clearly expressed practical focus. Thanks to the acquired knowledge and skills, I improved my teaching methodology, learned to apply modern approaches in the learning process and adequately respond to the needs of students in the dynamic educational environment.
The strength of the program lies in its relevance, well-balanced content and carefully selected disciplines. The training provides solid preparation, both in theoretical and practical aspects, in accordance with national and European standards. The teaching team is distinguished by high expertise, professionalism and an inspiring attitude towards future teachers. I am convinced that this is one of the most valuable and effective programs in the field of foreign language teaching methodology in Bulgaria.
Extremely valuable to me was the support of my scientific supervisor – Prof. Vesselinov, to whom I am deeply grateful for the high academic standards, encouragement of critical thinking and personal commitment to students. Under his guidance, I developed a thesis on the topic "English Language Teaching in Hristo Yassenov Secondary School, Etropole", which gave me the opportunity to analyze real school practice and to propose specific improvements, based on the scientific framework mastered during the training.
The acquired specialty in English Philology within the framework of my master's degree provided a solid linguistic and cultural preparation. The training in methodology has upgraded it with practical skills for effective teaching, adapting teaching content and working in a multicultural environment.
Today, I actively participate in projects under the Erasmus+ program, which further enriches both my professional experience and the learning process in my school. International cooperation allows me to implement innovative practices, exchange good examples with colleagues from different countries and motivate students through real contact with other cultures and educational models.
The Master's program "Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching" not only meets modern requirements in the field of education, but even builds on them. It prepares teachers with a broad perspective, a solid linguistic and methodological culture and the ability to adapt to the changing world of education.
I can confidently state that this program provides an excellent basis for professional development and is fully consistent with the modern needs of foreign language teaching in both the national and European contexts.
